Between 1979 and 2009, the former Soviet Union and Russia staged major military operations in central Asia that reshaped the post-Cold War order and destabilized large parts of the globe. How did the experience of Soviet and Russian soldiers evolve into the aggressive Russian military that affects the world today? Participants will interact with costumed interpreters and examine the uniforms, tools, and equipment of the Russian soldier to gain insight into this military mindset. Program included with regular museum admission.
