1. Boathouse Live’s Shamrock Shindig

When: 2-7 p.m. Sunday, March 11

Where: Boathouse Live

What: Enjoy music and entertainment from The Irish Drinking Band, who “mixes rock, bluegrass and energetic Irish drinking songs with lightning fast fiddle, soaring guitar, driving drums and grooving bass.” Performances will also be held by the Cumasgaigh School Irish Dance, an amazing group of dancers that will include solos by dancers ranging from beginners all the way up to regional and national champions.  Learn more


2. Shamrock Festival

When: 2-6 p.m. Saturday, March 17

Where: City Center at Oyster Point – Mariners Row

What: This free event will feature entertainment by Vinyl Headlights, and the Newport News Pipe & Drums. Kids and adults can enjoy free activities. Prizes will be awarded for individuals and groups wearing the best St. Patrick’s Day theme outfits to the event. Admission and parking are free. 3. 27th Annual St. Patrick's Day at Cozzy's Comedy Club

When: Doors open at 2 p.m. Live music begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 17

Where: Cozzy's Comedy Club and Tavern, 9700 Warwick Blvd.

What: Join Cozzy's for corned beef and cabbage, Shepherd's Pie, Bangers and Colcannon, Green Beer, Guinness, Irish Car Bombs, Jameson Shots, Bread Pudding, and so much, much more! At 6 p.m., Cozzy's will feature the Irish band, Clan McCool! Learn more


4. SMOKE St. Paddy Party

When: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 17

Where: Smoke BBQ Restaurant and Bar, 10900 Warwick Blvd.

What: Join Smoke on St. Patrick's Day for a full day of fun! We're offering themed breakfast and dinner specials, K9 demonstrations, and bagpipes throughout the afternoon. Join us at 4 p.m. for our cornhole tournament. We've got cash prizes to give away! 5. Slapnation at The Cove St. Patrick’s Day

When: 6-9 p.m. Saturday, March 17

Where: The Cove Tavern, 711 Lakefront Commons

6. St. Paddy’s Day Inflatable Foosball Tournament

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17

Where: Tradition Brewing Co., 700 Thimble Shoals Blvd.

What: Tradition Brewing Co. and  Lionsbridge FC are proud to present the St. Paddy’s Day Inflatable Foosball Tournament. Grab seven friends and bring it on! What: It's time again for Shenanigans!  Starting at 11 a.m., enjoy Ruben Bites, Corned Beef and Swiss or Ruben Sandwiches.
