Outdoor Dining

Nestled in Coastal Virginia and surrounded by water, Newport News offers residents and visitors alike a variety of ways to enjoy a few waves and the outdoors. However, our beaches aren’t the only places to take in the shoreline and mild temperatures. Below are some local eateries where the cuisine and scenery duke it out daily. No need to pick sides though...we’re sure you’ll enjoy both.

Crabshack on the James

The Crabshack on the James is perched at the bottom of the James River Bridge and at the entrance to the James River Fishing pier. It’s the perfect place to delight in fresh seafood, all while taking in the sunset.

The Deadrise
