May 2 - 8 is National Travel & Tourism Week, a time where professionals in the tourism industry celebrate the value and importance that travel has on our economy, business, and personal well-being. In Newport News, that is no different with our many parks, amazing restaurants, museums, and more contributing to the city and Coastal Virginia. Tourism plays a critical role to the city's local economy, workforce, identity and culture and Newport News Mayor Price has recognized it and proclaimed this as a week of celebration for the city.
