Runners, prepare for take-off! Newport News/Williamsburg Airport’s 5K on the Runway is back and bigger than ever. Lace up your shoes to see the airport like you’ve never seen it before; race on airport taxiways and runways for a one-of-a-kind experience. The 5K on the Runway begins at 8 a.m. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate and strollers are permitted. In addition to the 5K on the Runway, a “Taxiway Takeoff Junior Run,” begins at 9:30 a.m. The event also includes a live DJ, food and drinks from local vendors, inflatables, games for all ages, and a post-race party.
