Description

Historic Hilton Village

The unique architecture of Historic Hilton Village is the perfect backdrop for the eclectic collection of locally owned shops that makes this a “can’t miss” experience. Listed on the National register of Historic Places, Historic Hilton Village features quaint, locally-owned shops and services. The choices are many and varied, including vintage & consignment clothing, home furnishings & decor, antique & vintage accents, artwork, one-of-a-kind artisan jewelry and more.

Shop until you drop and dine at Indulge Bakery & Bistro, Kismet, Circa Restaurant 1918, or get a scoop of ice cream at The Hilton Creamery and be sure to schedule a spa facial, massage, manicure or haircut from one of the individual studios located in this pedestrian-friendly business district.

Located along Warwick Boulevard, and near to Newport News Shipbuilding,  the Hilton Village Shopping district was built Circa 1918, providing necessary goods and services for the residents of the Hilton Village neighborhood. Interestingly, Hilton Village was the first United States Federal war-housing project, established during World War I, when Newport News Shipbuilding went into high gear building war ships, and needed a community to house the families.
