Let the lawn games begin!  Grab your sunglasses and your favorite pair of flip-flops and wind down the summer with the Backyard Bash. Enjoy live music, great food, cold beverages and fun activities at the ultimate “backyard” party – all in the heart of historic downtown Newport News. An array of food trucks will provide options for everyone to enjoy. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Free parking is available street-side as well as in the Newport News City Hall parking lot at 2400 Washington Ave. Free shuttle service to and from the Backyard Bash will be provided from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. For details, click here.
