Description

Join us for “New Voices,” a series of virtual concerts featuring music by incredibly exciting, up-and-coming artists and composers, all curated by Broadway composer Drew Gasparini.

Guest artist Taylor Pearlstein is a Brooklyn-based music artist, composer, actor, creator and storyteller. Raised in the mountains of Seattle, passing through the Arizona deserts and finding her home in New York City, Taylor’s music and art embodies the earthy, wild, and raw essence of the paths she's trodden.

Living in sounds of indie pop with roots in folk, Taylor’s music comforts and uplifts with vulnerability, while challenging listeners to find the courage to feel. Her music is available for streaming on all platforms.

In theatre, Taylor wears the hats of performer and creator. As an actor, she specializes in pop-rock, having toured the country starring as Kathryn Merteuil in Cruel Intentions. As composer, she is the music and lyrics half of writing duo Pearlstein and Flynn. Their current project, Wake You Up, debuted in concert at NYC’s The Green Room 42. Taylor and writing partner Shannon Molly Flynn aim to create stories and characters that fit any and all bodies and identities, rooted in experiences universally resonant and made specific and important by what each human brings to each space and role.

Drew Gasparini is a thrilling musician equally committed to forging a new sound in the intersection between theatre and pop, to nurturing the next generation of artists, and to throwing one hell of a party. He is an award-winning musical theatre composer and lyricist, a singer/songwriter, a comedian and a teacher. His unique brand of musical theatre concerts have been performed to sold-out houses around the world, including The Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center.
