The Mariners' Museum and Park
The Mariners' Museum Park is 550 acres of privately maintained, naturally wooded property that offers visitors a quiet and serene place to walk, run or picnic. Within the Park is 167-acres of The Mariners' Lake. Following the shoreline of the lake is the 5-mile Noland Trail.

Victory Arch
Originally built in 1919, returning WWI troops disembarked from ships and marched through the arch in victory parades. Today it serves as a memorial to the men and women of the armed forces and hosts Newport News’ annual Memorial and Veterans Day ceremonies.

Victory Landing Park
Located in downtown Newport News, this 5.44-acre park gives a beautiful view of the James River. It is adjacent to the Virginia Advanced Shipbuilding and Carrier Integration Center and provides a view of Newport News Shipbuilding, where aircraft carriers and submarines are built for the U.S. Navy. This green-space park is also located in close proximity to the Victory Arch.
