ZOOM In on Newport News for a chance to win a prize package valued at $900!

Whether you are a Newport News resident or a treasured visitor to our great City, the Newport News Tourism Development Office (NNTDO) is inviting you to ZOOM In on Newport News and submit your images to our 2008 Photo Contest.

With a grand prize package valued at $900, which includes $500 cash, a $200 MOTOPHOTO gift certificate for in-house printing services, plus VIP passes for four people for Newport News attractions and an honorable mention prize valued at approximately $300, which includes $100 cash, a $50 gift certificate for MOTOPHOTO for in-house printing services, plus VIP passes for two people for Newport News attractions, there are plenty of incentives to get out your camera and start ZOOMing in on our city. Additional prizes may also be awarded, at the discretion of the NNTDO and judges.

We have kept entry criteria intentionally broad, to hopefully encourage you to submit numerous entries (up to 25 per entrant) that portray Newport News through your eyes.     

  
Photographs must have been taken in the City of Newport News, Virginia to be eligible. This means if you have images from last years Celebration in Lights, Fall Festival, or other holiday images, you can still submit them!

Photographs containing people are also encouraged - we want to see you and your family and friends enjoying our city, but please read the guidelines and rules regarding images containing identifiable people and minors.

Official start date for submitting images to the NNTDO is May 22, 2008 and images will be accepted through September 5, 2008. Entrants must be at least 18 years or older to enter.

Images can be uploaded electronically (along with a completed entry form), or mailed to NNTDO as a CD/DVD. Submission guidelines and the NNTDO mailing address can be found in the downloadable rules and guidelines PDF (links below).
