Tourism Awareness Contest

Here it is! Another fun-filled contest for National Tourism Week that will test your sleuthing skills as well as bring to your attention a very important location in Newport News. This year our contest focuses on just one location. Eight clues will be given to include corresponding pictures. There is plenty of time for you to enter and determine what this essential location is in Newport News.

• Newport News Visitor Center, 13560 Jefferson Avenue at Newport News Park Entrance, Exit 250B off I-64, 757-886-7777. The Visitor Center is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Eligibility

• Entry forms must be delivered to the Newport News Visitor Center by 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27 by mail, in person, by fax or by e-mail.
• MAIL entry forms to Newport News Visitor Center, 13560 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, VA 23603.
• FAX entry forms to 757-886-7920.
• E-MAIL saved and attached entry forms to tourism-mailing@nngov.com with the subject line "contest."

Winners will be selected from correct entry forms by a random drawing and will be posted online and at the Newport News Visitor Center on May 30. Winners will be notified by phone or e-mail.

No purchase necessary. Each prize donor has certain restrictions that may apply. All correct ballots turned in by 5 p.m. on May 27, 2008,  will be eligible for prize drawings. Contest open to all U.S. citizens 18 years and older. Only one entry per person. All Newport News Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department employees are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited.
