NNHA Scholarship Information
Interested in a Career in Tourism or the Hospitality Industry?
The Newport News Hospitality Association is offering $1,000 Scholarships!
High school seniors
To be eligible to apply, you must:
- live in Newport News and go to school there (public, private or home-schooled).
- have applied to an accredited college or university.
- agree to pursue a field of study in college related to travel/ tourism or hospitality management.
People already working in the hospitality industry
To be eligible to apply, you must:
- be employed in the hospitality industry in Newport News.
- be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- be pursuing or agree to pursue a field of study in college related to travel/tourism or hospitality management.
Applications are available at NNHA member hotels, restaurants and attractions, Newport News Visitor Center, NN offices at Fountain Plaza Two on Town Center Drive. The 2012 scholarship application deadline was March 31 and the scholarships will be awarded in May. Please check back soon for details on the 2013 scholarship program.
